Overview of Enneagram Three

Type Three is versatile, achieving, motivated, and image-conscious. We are drawn to Type 3s because they rise to the challenge and achieve for the common good when they are at their best. They have a desire to feel valuable and worthwhile.

Type 3s have a lot of energy and can accomplish the task at hand with sheer momentum at times. They are goal oriented and usually very successful in their career and interests.

Because Types 3s have so much forward momentum and are driven to accomplish, they are often out of touch with how they feel or what they individually value because they are motivated by external affirmation rather than internal satisfaction.
